BACKGROUND:
The Time Trial is open to everyone as an individual event. Not interested in a mass start race but like to go fast on your bike?  Buy a one day license and see if you measure up to USAC licensed riders (or if they measure up to you).  A special prize will be given to the fastest male and female rider on a traditional bicycle – Eddy Merckx style! Please note: in comparison to previous years, USACycling rules now permit sleeveless jerseys—so you triathletes can wear tri tops to compete.

DIRECTIONS
From West Omaha: Take West Maple Road to 204th St (State Highway 31).  Turn right (north) onto 204th St and proceed approximately four miles north to the Army Reserve Training Center on the west side of the road. Park in the designated parking area for the race. Registration tent will be located in this parking lot as will portapotties. Racers should proceed out of the parking lot, when safe to do so, and ride north 200 yards to Rainwood Rd. The race will start approximately 200 yards west of the 204th St intersection on Rainwood Rd. Please use caution when traversing north to the race start—204th St is a 60 mph highway.

COURSE DETAILS
This year’s circuit comprises approximately 15 miles of rolling terrain. Racers will start out heading west on Rainwood Rd, a flat section, to 216th St. Turning north on 216th St, also flat to a left turn onto Bennington Rd. The course continues west for 1 mile to 225th St where racers will turn south. Then the fun begins. The course turns west on Deer Ridge Rd for a long downhill to a sweeping left turn to 234th St. Racers will travel south on 234th St for a flat 2 miles to State St. where the course turns 90 degrees left. At the intersection of 230th St., racers will turn south to travel down 230th St. to shortly before Maple Rd. Just prior to the curve before Maple, there will be a turnaround. The course then leads back north on 230th St, up the hill and then racers turn east on Rainwood Rd for the flat run to the finish at the point of beginning. This year’s course is much more interesting than the flat out-and-back time trials that we typically see in Nebraska. Racers should expect to use all of their gearing on this course with a tough out-of-the-saddle climb during the last 2 miles of the race.   Click  here for a course map with elevations.
